00 daily with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaksHowever, the daily schedule may vary depending on the needs of the districtPOSITION SUMMARY The Physical Therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities, developing personalized treatment plans, and promoting overall wellnessThe Physical Therapist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and provide exceptional carePatient Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional abilitiesAnalyze medical history and collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop a comprehensive understanding of the patient's needsTreatment Planning:
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and goals set with the patientImplement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and functionalityRehabilitation Services:
Administer hands-on therapy, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercisesUtilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy as appropriatePatient Education:
Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and home exercise programsProvide guidance on injury prevention and overall health and wellnessDocumentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting progress and modifications to treatment plansSubmit timely and comprehensive reports to healthcare teams and insurance providersCollaboration:
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient careParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategiesPatient Education:
Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and home exercise programsProvide guidance on injury prevention and overall health and wellnessDocumentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting progress and modifications to treatment plansSubmit timely and comprehensive reports to healthcare teams and insurance providersCollaboration:
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient careParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategiesProfessional Growth:
Participates in continuing educaton for professional development to ensure best evidence-based practice and to meet Arkansas State Board and National Board of Physical Therapy Certification requirementsUses professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education content to make practical decisionsEthics:
Uses professional standards of practice to guide decision-makingAdhere to all District policiesPerform other duties as assigned by the Special Education DirectorSKILLS & ABILITIESEducation:
Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study:
Physical Therapy and a Master's Degree, Field of Study:

Experience:
Experience as a school physical therapist preferredComputer Skills:
Shall be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency with computers and programs associated with the positionCertifications & Licenses:
Current Arkansas licensure or certification as appropriate for the positionOther Requirements:
